The Volunteer Project They Never Forgot
What better way to close out National Volunteer Month than by recognizing those who go above and beyond?
This year, instead of honoring one individual, we’re celebrating a group of people who have been showing up—year after year—for 25 years: FactSet volunteers.
Your Generosity Carried 10 Families Through Winter
The winter lovers among us had to wait a number of years for the season that was. When we hatched plans for our Winter Warmth & Safety Campaign last Fall, we had no idea what kind of winter we would be facing.
Thanks to you, 10 local families in need did not have to face it alone.
Your Year-End Gift Can Still Make A Massive Difference
In these final hours of 2025, we want to pause and thank you.
Because of caring supporters like you, families in our community are ending the year in safer, warmer homes—and many more are still counting on that same support.
Starting 2026 on a Positive Note x2
As the year winds down, we want to thank you again for being part of a community that shows up for neighbors when it matters most.
Because of You: 55 Local Homes Made Safer—And More Still to Do
Because of your generosity, volunteers and supporters came together this year to complete critical repairs in 55 local homes in need. That means safer steps, warmer rooms, repaired roofs, and peace of mind for neighbors who otherwise might have gone without. These are real improvements that changed daily life for struggling families in our community.
Your Impact Doesn't Stop When the Temps Drop
When the mercury takes a dip, calls for our help surge—especially for heating needs. Through our Critical Pro Repair (CPR) service, our skilled professionals carry your mission forward all winter long—making the urgent repairs that can’t wait for warmer weather.
No Hibernation for Home Repair Relief
On Giving Tuesday, we are launching our Winter Warmth & Safety Campaign with one clear goal: to complete one urgent, Critical Pro Repair (CPR) project every week, all winter long.
Because of You, We Give Thanks
Because of you, nearby families in need are sitting down at their Thanksgiving tables with greater peace of mind. Single moms like Debbie don’t have to worry about their dangerous front steps as their guests arrive. Neighbors like Lorette can put their worry over a kitchen floor riddled with trip hazards to rest. And, older adults like Patricia don’t have to worry about their loved ones knocking on a broken door. And we get to see and hear their gratitude firsthand. As our Thanksgiving gift to you, we would like to send their appreciation to your home. After all, this is why you are highest on our list of blessings to be counted this year.
Spotlighting Our Local Heroes
This Veterans Day, we honor those who sacrificed for our freedoms. We honor those who continue to serve in their communities, including the many veterans who have volunteered with us to fix up homes in need over the years for others. And, we are also reminded that many veterans in our backyard are still fighting battles they should not have to fight alone.
Honoring Our Wisdom Keepers
Today is National Senior Citizen’s Day. It is one of our favorite days of the year here in HomeFront. We get to celebrate the many invaluable contributions that older adults make toward our mission. President Reagan launched this awareness day before it was adopted by the United Nations in 1990.
More Than Repairs: A Lasting Lift
As we close out the month of May—Mental Health Awareness Month—we are reminded of the impact our work has on the hearts and minds of those we help, as well as the helpers.
National Volunteer Appreciation Week 2025
One of our preferred ways to kick off the Spring is to celebrate National Volunteer Appreciation Week. As a treat to our friends, we’d like for you to get to know this year’s Volunteer Keystone Awardee: Bill Fitzpatrick.
Cheers to a Year of Homes Stabilized
As this year draws to a close, we would like to raise a glass to the positive difference you helped us to make for local families living in unsafe and unhealthy homes. Thanks to you, 50 neighbors in need confront this winter in warmer, safer and healthier homes. As our small gift to you, here are a few of the special homes touched by our supporters and volunteers this year.
Giving Tuesday
If there is anyone who knows how much of a difference one day can make, it’s our HomeFront volunteers and supporters! After all, we’ve moved mountains together on our one-day repair events. So, Giving Tuesday is right up our alley.
Tomorrow's Our Chance to Keep Neighbors Like Carlos Safe This Winter!
We hope you and your family had a wonderful Thanksgiving. As you may have heard, Giving Tuesday is tomorrow, and we wanted to keep the holiday cheer going. This winter, HomeFront is working hard to ensure neighbors like Carlos can stay safe, warm, and comfortable in their homes.
Happy Thanksgiving—From Their Homes to Yours!
We know this is a busy time, but it’s never too busy to share our thanks with you, our invaluable volunteer helpers and supporters. Gratitude is fresh in our minds as we just completed the last of our Fall HomeFront Days this past week. It is not lost on us how busy you are and how it may not feel like our dollar stretches as far as we’d like. But, in spite of it all, we were able to make 15 more homes warmer, safer and healthier for older adults, veterans, single-parent households, persons with disabilities and families in transitional crisis due to illness or job loss. It is all thanks to our Fall volunteer groups and our Critical Pro Repair (CPR) service. We’re lucky to have front row seats to all of the good works you make possible, but we wanted to share one special story with you.
Celebrating Veterans Day
During this Veterans Day Weekend, we want to thank all of our neighbors who served our country. But, just like you, we try to thank them through our deeds, and we try to do it all year-round. It has been our honor to make 380 homes more livable for veterans in need over the years.
National Senior Citizen's Day
In honor of National Senior Citizen’s Day, we would like to share with you a few of the homes you have helped us to touch this year. And, of course, we also celebrate the scores of older adults who roll up their sleeves to help others.
